How do I get historical data and how much does it cost ? Historical data is free for licensed users of TickTrader, and is part of TickTrader.
Which symbols can I use in my back-testing ? At present the following symbols are available; EUR, GBP, JPY, ES, NQ, ER2. More symbols will be added.
Is the historical data really tick-by-tick data ? Our historical data is as close to tick-by-tick data as possible, providing a close to live environment for back-testing.
Will I need an account with a bank or a stock broker in order to develop and back-test my algorithm ? No - you do not need an account with any bank or broker to develop and back-test your algorithm.
Can I test the Automated Trading without a broker account ? You can use the free platform TWS ”edemo” from Interactive Brokers to provide account management and data feed for simulated Automated Trading of your algorithms, but on delayed data feed.
Which Stockbrokers do you support ? TickTrader supports the trading platform TWS from Interactive Brokers. In order to test your algorithm on live data feed, you must have an active account with Interactive Brokers. www.interactivebrokers.com
How do I get live data feed for simulated and live trading ? When you have an account with Interactive Brokers, they provide TickTrader with live data feed. |
